Malabar Literature Festival's Heritage Walk ‘De Malabaricus’ held at Kodungallur.

A group of history enthusiasts on Sunday evening gathered at Kodungallur to explore the past glory of the heritage town. The event ‘De Malabaricus Heritage Walk’ was held as part of the Malabar Literature Festival (MLF) to be held from November 31-December 3 in Kozhikode. Starting at Kottappuram, the Heritage Walk covered the diverse cultural and heritage spots of the historic city. These included Paliyam Kovilakam, Paliyam Nalukett, Kottappuram Fort and Cheraman Paramb. The walk culminated at Cheraman Juma Masjid where the participants engaged in a story telling with local historians. Cheraman Mosque Chief Imam Saleem Nadwi Veliyambra, Muziris Project Marketing Manager Ibrahim Zabin and Muziris Project Museum Manager Nimmy K P attended. ‘De Malabaricus’ is an integral part of MLF’s endeavour to celebrate the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Malabar. The next phases of the event will be held in Kozhikode, Tirurangadi, Koyilandy and Thalassery where the participants will immerse in the cultural treasures of Malabar while interacting with local historians and heritage enthusiasts. MLF is an annual gathering that celebrates the rich tapestry of Malabar's language, literature, arts, culture, and international relations. It serves as a platform for diverse voices and ideas, bringing together a diverse array of authors and experts from around the world.
